Electronic
Commerce Network (ECN) is a survivor in NZ and is now passing nearly
750,000 messages through its service every month. We are the market
leader in our field in New Zealand, and the global market beckons.
During the 2001 calendar year ECN acquired a controlling stake in
Tedis Pty Ltd, a small but relatively successful Australian eCommerce
company very similar to ECN. This became the beginning of ECN’s
expansion offshore. With ECN’s help Tedis immediately bought
Pacstream, an Australian company providing eCommerce solutions to
the Australian book retail market. As these companies had existing
infrastructure and customers, our offshore expansion was now well
under way.
